The Resonants sing a variety of styles of music,
from different periods and in
different languages. Madrigals, spirituals, jazz, contemporary - they
are all part of the Resonants reportoire. While being most interested
in a cappella choral music,
the choir also sings with a range of different accompaniments including
piano, chamber orchestra, brass ensemble and organ. The Resonants
have collaborated with and held combined concerts with a number of other
reknowned Canberra musicians over the years, including Nicole Canham,
Anthony Smith, Louise Page, Phillipa Candy, Robert Schmidli, Guitar
Trek, The Idea of North and others.
All four CDs would make ideal Christmas or birthday presents

A Taste of Australia
The Resonants' newest CD, A Taste of Australia, launched on Friday 24 October 2008.
It is designed as a celebration of four decades of Australian composers.
The music includes new arrangements of beloved folk songs, stunning settings of poetry from Australia and overseas,
and brand new pieces that evoke the landscape and temperament of the Australian bush.
It was recorded as a live concert on a perfect autumn day near the coast, setting just the right mood for this expressive music.
Lo, there is light!
The Resonants' third CD, Lo, there is light!
was launched on Friday 11 November 2005. It is an album of choral
Christmas music from around the world, blending traditional with
contemporary in The Resonants' usual high standard of
performance.
Five sacred centuries
The Resonants' first CD, Five sacred centuries,
launched in 1998, has sold around 900 copies. Five sacred centuries
is 65 minutes of unaccompanied 16th Century to current European,
Australian, African and North and South American music.
Songs of love and life
Songs of love and life, the Resonants' second CD
was released in October 2002. Songs of love and life expresses
love of life and nature through songs taken from the 16th Century
to the present day. Many of the pieces are sung in their original
languages, perfectly complementing Five sacred centuries.
